Barcelona have finalized their agreement with Borussia Dortmund regarding the transfer of striker Karim Adeyemi to the Catalan side, with the club paying €22 million as a fixed fee, plus €7 million in variables.

According to Spanish newspaper 'Marca', the agreement was closed last Friday evening, although some minor details remain to be resolved and all clauses must be included in the official contracts.

Barcelona had already reached an agreement with the player several days ago, under which he will receive a total annual salary of €12 million, according to Sky Sports.

It added that Adeyemi's signing will not be officially announced until these final details are resolved. The striker is currently in Germany waiting to travel to Barcelona, and expectations indicate that everything will be finalized in the early days of next week (starting Monday).

Karim Adeyemi will have to undergo a medical examination as soon as all the documents related to the deal are completed, after which he will immediately join the team's collective training under coach Hansi Flick. The squad has been called back to work on Monday, July 13, and the striker will be officially presented as a new Barcelona player afterwards.

Karim Adeyemi is Barcelona's second signing of the current summer transfer window, as the club had secured the signing of Anthony Gordon before the start of the World Cup for a fixed fee of €70 million, plus €10 million in variables.

The sporting department continues to work on new signings, including Julián Álvarez or another striker, as well as João Cancelo and some other potential reinforcements.
