The first registration period for players, the 'Summer Mercato,' kicks off today, Wednesday, July 22, and will last for 46 days until next September 6, opening the door for Saudi Roshn League clubs to finalize their technical rosters and complete deals that meet their needs ahead of the new season.

At the same time, the registration period begins for First Division clubs until September 20, while it continues for Second Division clubs until October 6, and for the Third and Fourth Divisions until October 12. The registration period for Under-21 league clubs extends until September 20, and for other age categories until November 19.

Although Roshn League club administrations have been working on transfer files for weeks and have already announced several signings, the pace of activity remains lower than in previous seasons, both in terms of quantity and the quality of names announced, suggesting that the bulk of moves may be postponed to the coming weeks as technical staff needs become clearer and all players return from their preparatory camps.

So far, Al-Ahli appears to be the most active in the foreign transfer market, having successfully reinforced several positions with new names, asserting its desire to enter the upcoming season strongly, and Al-Qadsiah has done the same.

In contrast, Al-Hilal has prioritized the domestic market by attracting several young talents and Saudi players, while simultaneously evaluating its current squad during the preparatory camp before making final decisions on any additional foreign reinforcements.

The coming weeks are expected to see an increase in the pace of deals, especially as the competitions approach and clubs enter a race against time to secure their technical needs before the registration window closes.
