The transfer deal of Al-Nassr player Wesley Teixeira to Brazilian club Corinthians has stalled, after negotiations hit financial obstacles that prevented its completion, as the Saudi club continues to work on rearranging its squad in preparation for the new season.

Trusted journalist Luis Fabiani confirmed via his account on platform "X" that the transfer deal of Wesley to Corinthians has officially failed, noting that the Brazilian club's management acknowledged that financial reasons were the main factor behind the collapse of negotiations.

The deal's stalling comes amid the economic crisis Corinthians is experiencing, which has directly affected its ability to conclude new deals during the summer transfer window.

In a related context, press reports revealed that Corinthians has been subjected to a new penalty preventing it from registering players, raising the total to four transfer bans during the current season.

The report explained that the latest penalty was imposed by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), bringing the total to three penalties issued by FIFA, in addition to one penalty from the Brazilian Football Confederation.

These penalties will prevent the Brazilian club from registering any new deals until they are lifted and the related files are settled.

In contrast, Al-Nassr's management is seeking to market Wesley Teixeira during the current summer transfer window, after the player fell out of the plans of Australian head coach Ange Postecoglou, who does not wish for him to remain with the squad next season.
