The Saudi national volleyball team achieved its second consecutive victory in the ongoing second West Asian Championship in Muscat, the Omani capital, after defeating its Lebanese counterpart 3-1 at the conclusion of the group stage matches on Friday. According to the Saudi Volleyball Federation's account on platform 'X', the Green team decided the match against its Lebanese counterpart 25-18, 19-25, and 25-23. The Saudi team had lost its first match against Iraq 1-3, then beat Oman 'the host' 3-2 in the previous round. The tournament is played in a single round-robin format in each group, and the top two from each group qualify for the semi-finals to compete for the title. The list of Spanish Fernando Muñoz, coach of the Saudi team, included 14 players: Fawaz Al-Yami, Walid Al-Otaibi, Abdullah Al-Khalfan, Ahmed Al-Murayt, Muwaffaq Al-Mutairi, Badr Al-Awami, Rashad Abu Al-Khair, Hussein Al-Murayt, Marwan Hawsawi, Hassan Al-Waqlan, Qusay Al-Abdulbaqi, Ali Al-Kaabi, Mohammed Adel, and Hamoud Al-Ghamdi.
