With one word... Mourinho fires up Real Madrid fans
Portuguese coach José Mourinho has begun his duties at the Valdebebas sports city, preparing for his new stage with Real Madrid, although the team's official preseason starts next Monday.
Mourinho posted a photo on his Instagram account from inside Valdebebas, wearing clothes bearing the Merengue logo, and wrote a brief comment "Vamos" meaning "Let's go" or "Come on."
Diario AS reported that Mourinho has started working in his office and began planning for the new season in collaboration with his new coaching staff.
The Portuguese coach also began evaluating the available squad and holding important conversations with several players in preparation for the new season.
Mourinho will be able to count on Andriy Lunin, Arnold, Carreras, Dean Huijsen, Raúl Asencio, Camavinga, Gonzalo García and Mastantuono at the start of the preseason, in addition to the injured trio who continue their recovery: Militão, Rodrygo and Ferland Mendy.
According to AS, Real Madrid has drawn up an initial plan that includes playing four friendly matches during the preseason, taking advantage of the postponement of their match in the first round of La Liga.
The Whites will participate in the Teresa Herrera tournament, as well as play a friendly in Austria on August 1, along with two additional friendlies before the start of the season.
