Technical Glitch Hits Facebook and Instagram in Several Countries
Washington, July 19 (QNA) - Instagram and Facebook, both owned by Meta, experienced a technical glitch that prevented a number of users from accessing their accounts in several countries.
Downdetector, a website specialized in monitoring outages of online services, reported that the glitch began around 3:25 a.m. Eastern Time, with thousands of reports of problems accessing the platforms, and intermittent outages were recorded in some Asian countries.
Users indicated that they were unable to log in, load pages and posts, in addition to problems uploading photos and sending messages, while Facebook app services on smartphones continued to work without being significantly affected by the glitch.
The company has not yet issued any statement explaining the cause or scope of the malfunction.
