The Communications, Space and Technology Commission released the fifth edition of its “Saudi Internet 2025” report, highlighting key internet usage indicators in the Kingdom. It revealed that the adoption rate of artificial intelligence tools among internet users in Saudi Arabia reached 45.2%, reflecting a trend of keeping pace with and adopting the latest technologies. The average mobile data consumption per user stood at 53 GB per month, three times the global average. The median mobile internet download speed reached 216 Mbps, placing the Kingdom among the top five G20 countries in this indicator, underscoring the development of digital infrastructure and the improved quality of services for users. The report also showed that 61.3% of users spend seven hours or more daily online, reflecting the growing reliance on digital tools across various aspects of daily life. It reviewed usage patterns of apps and digital services in the Kingdom, including the most used and downloaded apps in social media, government services, sports, and artificial intelligence, along with an analysis of differing usage patterns among various groups. It also highlighted an 18% annual growth in Saudi domain name registrations, indicating enhanced trust in internet browsing. The report covered additional indicators related to the digital ecosystem, including the fastest-growing apps, browsing patterns, leading search engines, and the growth of Saudi domain name registrations, reflecting the expansion of local digital content and the growing contribution of the digital economy. This continues the Commission's efforts in monitoring the evolution of the internet ecosystem and improving the efficiency of digital services to support innovation and growth.
