Samsung has released a guide detailing how to set up and use the Samsung Wallet service on Galaxy Watch for contactless payments and access to ID cards, membership cards, and boarding passes, ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22.

The guide allows making payments directly from the watch after setting up the service by long-pressing the Back button and activating the screen lock, then adding a compatible payment card via a Galaxy phone. Users can also select the desired card and bring the watch close to the payment terminal to complete the transaction.

The service also supports adding ID cards, membership cards, boarding passes, and public transit cards after registering them in the app on the phone, a step that enhances the smartwatch's capabilities as a comprehensive digital wallet.

This announcement comes as part of Samsung's preparations to unveil the latest Galaxy devices during the Galaxy Unpacked event, which will be streamed live on the company's digital platforms.
