The National Center for Meteorology warned of a heatwave hitting the Eastern Province, and issued a yellow alert covering the governorates of Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Khafji, Nairiyah, Qaryat al-Ulya, and Ahsa, Al-Udayd, and Buqayq.

The center warned of a heatwave and high temperatures of (47-48) degrees Celsius.
