The National Center for Meteorology warned of continued thunderstorms in some regions of the Kingdom starting from today (Sunday) until the end of this week.

The situation includes Asir, Jazan, Al-Baha, and the southern highlands of Makkah.

The center expected continued chances of rainfall in the regions of Asir, Jazan, Al-Baha, and the southern highlands of the Makkah region until the end of the week.

It noted that the chances of rainfall increase on Wednesday and Thursday in parts of the Najran region, the southern parts of the Riyadh region, and the southern coasts of the Makkah region. It is also expected to be heavy on the highlands of Asir, Jazan, and Al-Baha, especially on Wednesday and Thursday.

Earlier today, the center indicated that conditions are still favorable for thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds in parts of the Jazan and Asir regions, extending to parts of the Al-Baha region.
