The National Center for Meteorology expects in its report on today's weather, Wednesday, across the Kingdom's regions, that the weather will remain hot to extremely hot in the Eastern Province and parts of Riyadh and Medina regions. The effect of active winds raising dust and sand will continue over parts of those areas, as well as parts of the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, and Tabuk regions, and the eastern parts of the western and southwestern highlands of the Kingdom. Meanwhile, the chance remains for thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds over parts of Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan regions, extending to parts of Najran region.

Red Sea

Surface winds: Northwesterly to westerly over the northern part, northwesterly to southwesterly over the central part at 15-45 km/h, and southeasterly to southwesterly at 12-34 km/h reaching 50 km/h with thunderstorm cloud formation over the southern part.

Wave height: From 1 to 2 meters over the northern part, from 1 to 2 meters reaching over 2.5 meters during early morning hours over the central part, and from 0.5 to 1.5 meters reaching over 2 meters with thunderstorm cloud formation over the southern part.

Weather in the Eastern Province

The National Center for Meteorology warned in its weather report of the continuation of the heat wave and raised dust in the Eastern Province today, Wednesday. The heat wave starts at 11 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m., affecting Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Al-Ahsa, Al-'Udayd, Buqayq, Al-Khafji, Al-Nu'ayriyah, and Qaryat al-Ulya. It is accompanied by a temperature rise of (47–48) degrees Celsius.

Parts of the Eastern Province are experiencing raised dust from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. The alert includes: Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Al-Ahsa, Al-'Udayd, Buqayq, Al-Khafji, Al-Nu'ayriyah, Qaryat al-Ulya, and Hafar al-Batin. The accompanying effects include: active winds reaching speeds of 40–49 km/h, and reduced horizontal visibility (3–5) km.
