Today's Weather Forecast: Thunderstorms and Winds in 4 Regions
The National Center of Meteorology expected in its report on today’s weather, God willing, that thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds will continue to affect parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al Baha regions, as well as the southern heights of the Makkah region. Meanwhile, high maximum temperatures will persist in parts of the Eastern Province, extending to parts of the Riyadh region. The report indicated that surface wind movement over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at 15–40 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to northeasterly at 10–28 km/h, reaching over 50 km/h with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern and central parts, and from half a meter to one meter, exceeding two meters with rainy thunderclouds in the southern part. The sea state will be light to moderate waves in the northern and central parts, and light waves becoming rough with rainy thunderclouds in the southern part. In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northwesterly to westerly at 15–38 km/h in the northern part, and northeasterly to southeasterly at 10–28 km/h in the central and southern parts. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern part, and from half a meter to one meter in the central and southern parts. The sea state will be light to moderate waves in the northern part, and light waves in the central and southern parts.
