Tuesday Weather: Thunderstorms and Dust-Stirring Winds Hit Large Parts of the Kingdom
The National Center of Meteorology expects the Kingdom to experience, today Tuesday, the continued impact of active winds stirring up dust and sand in parts of Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Hail, Al-Qassim, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region, extending to parts of Najran, with continued high maximum temperatures in parts of Makkah and Madinah regions.
The center explained that the chance remains for thunderstorms accompanied by active winds in parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and the southern parts of the highlands of Makkah region.

Sea conditions
The center indicated that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds between 18 and 40 km/h in the northern and central parts, and between 10 and 32 km/h in the southern part, possibly reaching 50 km/h with rainy thunderclouds. Wave heights range from half a meter to one and a half meters in the north and center, and may exceed two meters in the southern part with thunderclouds, while sea state will be light to moderate waves, possibly becoming rough in the south.
In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be westerly to northwesterly at speeds between 25 and 42 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to southwesterly at speeds between 12 and 35 km/h in the southern part. Wave heights range between one and two meters in the north and center, and between half a meter and one and a half meters in the south, with moderate seas in the north and center, and light to moderate seas in the south.
