The Arab Parliament welcomed the decision of the Dutch government to ban the import, purchase, and sale of products from Israeli occupation settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory, affirming that the decision represents a victory for international law and an advanced step in confronting illegal settlement.

Arab Parliament President Mohammed Al-Yamahi stressed in a statement that the decision reflects the growing international will to take practical measures to hold the occupation accountable, calling on all states to ban settlement products, impose sanctions on settlements and supporting companies, and suspend privileges and trade agreements with the occupation entity until it complies with international law.

He emphasized that the continued impunity of the occupation entity has encouraged it to continue its crimes against the Palestinian people, calling on the international community to take decisive steps to hold perpetrators accountable and enable the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
