Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that 'accepting the suspension of uranium enrichment would have cost Iran losses greater than those inflicted by war,' stressing that 'the decision to end the war is not made by one side, but is taken collectively within the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.'

Araqchi explained that 'the task of analyzing the situation regarding war or ceasefire falls on the Supreme National Security Council, while the final decision rests with the leadership.'

He noted that every member of the council provides an assessment and analysis according to the field they represent, before the final decision is made.
