Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, discussed with Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on Sunday, fraternal relations and various aspects of cooperation and joint work to develop them in all fields, serving the common interests of the two countries and advancing the welfare and prosperity of their peoples.

This came during a meeting between the UAE President and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in El Alamein, as part of a fraternal visit by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to Egypt.

The UAE President and the Egyptian President also addressed developments in regional and international issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on them, foremost of which are the developments in the Middle East region and the efforts made regarding them.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and the Egyptian President affirmed their keenness to continue consultations on various issues in light of the common challenges facing the region, which require enhancing cooperation and joint work to preserve its security and stability.

Earlier, the UAE President had arrived in El Alamein, where he was received at the airport by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt.

Accompanying the UAE President during the visit is a delegation that includes Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State; and a number of ministers and officials.
