UAE discusses regional developments with Qatar and Jordan in phone calls
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, held two phone calls with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, and Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, to discuss the latest developments in the region.
According to the UAE news agency (WAM), "the two calls covered overall regional developments following the aggressive Iranian attack targeting the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with missiles, as well as the aggressive Iranian attack targeting the Qatari oil tanker 'Al-Rakiyat' while it was passing near the Strait of Hormuz, where the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in territorial and international waters was reviewed."
During the calls, Sheikh Abdullah expressed the UAE's full solidarity with Qatar and Jordan, stressing the UAE's keenness to support everything that enhances the security and stability of the two countries and preserves the safety of their peoples.
Sheikh Abdullah also discussed with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Ayman Safadi a number of issues of mutual interest related to the fraternal UAE-Qatari and UAE-Jordanian relations, and avenues of joint cooperation and ways to enhance them in a way that serves common interests.
