The death toll from the two earthquakes that struck Venezuela last month rose to 5,346, according to the head of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez.

The official statistics indicated that the number of injured stood at 16,740 people, while relief and rescue efforts continue in the affected areas.

In the La Guaira region, about 20,000 people are still living in temporary camps set up in stadiums, public squares, and on sidewalks, under difficult humanitarian conditions that require urgent intervention.
