Dr. Aqeel Abbas, an expert on American affairs, said that US planning regarding Iran is not based on the possibilities of rebellion and unrest occurring inside Iran.

In an interview on 'Al Arabiya FM', Abbas added that the United States is practically focusing on isolating the Strait of Hormuz area and cutting off supply lines to it.

The American affairs expert continued that the United States is also focusing on attempting to control some islands through bombing and the possibility of a ground landing on a naval base of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, from which Iranian fire sources that intercept ships are launched.

Abbas ruled out the United States relying on the occurrence of a popular uprising or major demonstrations in Iran, but it might benefit from them if they occur, but that is outside the circle of US strategic planning dependence.
