Injuries in a train accident in Egypt.. Initial details revealed
The Egyptian National Railways Authority announced on Saturday morning that an accident occurred involving passenger train No. 450 traveling from Damanhur to Tanta via Qallin, as it was entering Mahalla Ruh station in Gharbia Governorate at exactly 7:50 a.m.
The authority clarified in its statement that the first wheel of the carriage directly behind the locomotive derailed, resulting in 14 injuries.
Immediately after the accident, the railway authority dispatched emergency teams, cranes, and necessary technical equipment to the site to quickly deal with the situation and return the carriage to its normal track, ensuring the restoration of train movement with full efficiency as soon as possible.

In the same context, the authority decided to form a specialized technical committee to determine the technical reasons and causes that led to the derailment, and to take all necessary measures based on the results of the legal and technical inspection and investigation.
The Egyptian National Railways Authority expressed its sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to all those injured in this accident.
