The office of the International Islamic Youth Organization in Sudan reopened the Mosque of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) in the Northern State, following the completion of comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation work carried out on the mosque.

The opening ceremony witnessed a notable attendance of local residents and dignitaries from the state, who expressed their joy at the return of the mosque in its new form, affirming that such projects contribute to enhancing the mosque's message, strengthening the bonds of community cohesion, and consolidating the values of solidarity and cooperation among community members.

In his speech during the ceremony, Mr. Muhammad Al-Habr, Director of the International Islamic Youth Organization office in Sudan, expressed his happiness with this opening, stressing the importance of such projects in serving local communities, providing a suitable environment for performing religious rituals, and enhancing the educational and social role of mosques.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the residents of the area expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continuous humanitarian and development efforts in Africa, particularly in Sudan, noting that the Kingdom’s development and service projects reflect its humanitarian mission and its keenness to support communities and improve the quality of life.
