Iran and the Harming of Neighbors

Unfortunately, we compare the bad with the worse as we recall the policy of Shah's Iran, which was not as crude as the later policies following the declaration of the Khomeini revolution, and the insistence on exporting it to the world, especially the Arab world, by force of arms, ignoring what is known as soft power, like previous Bolshevik, Nazi, or chauvinistic Zionist revolutions, and exceeded them by racing against time by provoking crises, igniting wars, forming militias, and violating the sovereignty of states, without recognition or appreciation for what national sovereignty requires, as it believes its idea has no borders, and that arms, occupation, and sowing discord are means of consolidation to entrench convictions and forcibly change the ideas, beliefs, and doctrines of peoples.

Perhaps the mullahs' regime has relished harming its neighbors for several reasons, including that it serves the orientations of Western countries that embraced Khomeini, funded him, and transported him to Tehran, because his ideology serves as a pressure card on an Arab world whose majority are Sunni Muslims, and the religious, sectarian, and denominational factor is the fastest fuel to ignite the fires of sedition in neighboring countries at the hands of Iran's mullahs, and to justify their actions with discredited speeches, on the grounds that they have claimed since their initial seed was planted that others are aggressing against them and that they have the right to respond, while reality belies their claims, especially since they began aggression as soon as security was established for the Velayat-e Faqih and its Revolutionary Guard.

It is no longer hidden that Iran is a tool in the hands of international players, and that the Tehran regime has not and will not care about the interests of a people exhausted by politicization and blinded by ideology from the developmental plans their reality needs, and involving peoples in perpetual wars is nothing but evidence of abject political failure. Moreover, memoranda of understanding and consultation resolutions have not grown, let alone borne fruit. So how can successive follies convince of good neighborly intentions in light of the around-the-clock transgressions against the security of the Arab Gulf states and Jordan? And who will stop this nonsense that some Western politicians see and bless with silence? As if they are saying, 'We did not order it, nor did it bother us.' And perhaps these countries have forgotten that whoever makes poison dies by it, and whoever lights a fire to burn others will have it reach his own home, even if he thinks it is fortified.
