(CNN)-- The family of US Army First Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan shared memories of the 25-year-old young man, who was killed on July 17 by Iranian strikes targeting Jordan.

Both Boris Sanchez and Brianna Keilar of CNN reported that Feehan's family "was planning his upcoming wedding, but now they are planning his funeral."

The family noted that Feehan "always looked forward to a new big adventure"; he had previously reached the base camp of Mount Everest and completed the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James) on foot, starting in France and ending in Spain. Feehan was also just a few weeks away from earning an MBA from Southern Utah University, and the university has agreed to award him the degree posthumously.

Feehan will be one of four servicemen who will undergo the 'dignified transfer' (a ceremony for receiving the remains of military personnel) on Wednesday at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.
