Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that 'the resumption of US strikes on Iran closes the door to a political solution.'

Lavrov added, during a press conference in the Russian capital Moscow, that 'the US attacks on Iran close the door to a settlement,' as reported by Al-Sharq.

The spokesman for the Iranian army, Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami, affirmed that 'the armed forces will not compromise regarding the Strait of Hormuz,' pointing out that 'the only way to reopen the strait is to respect the rights of the Iranian people and the United States' commitment to the terms of the memorandum of understanding to end the war between the US and Iran.'

He added that 'the United States had agreed, under the memorandum of understanding on ending the war, to Iranian arrangements regarding the Strait of Hormuz, but it slyly sought to find an alternative route.'
