Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, discussed with Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on Sunday brotherly relations and various aspects of cooperation and joint work to develop them in all fields, serving the common interests of the two countries and bringing goodness and prosperity to their peoples.

This took place during a meeting between the UAE President and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in the city of El Alamein during a brotherly visit by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to Egypt.

The UAE President and the Egyptian President also touched on developments in regional and international issues of common interest and exchanged views on them, foremost among which are the developments in the Middle East region and the efforts being made regarding them.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and the Egyptian President affirmed their keenness to continue consultation on various issues in light of the common challenges facing the region, which require enhancing cooperation and joint work to maintain its security and stability.

The UAE President had earlier arrived in El Alamein, where he was received at the airport by Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Accompanying the UAE President during the visit is a delegation that includes Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Zayed Charitable Foundation; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State; and a number of ministers and officials.
