Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to play hockey, but does not do so regularly due to his busy schedule.

Peskov added, in response to a question, 'Given his busy schedule, he does not play the game often, but he continues to practice it,' according to the Russian news agency TASS on Tuesday.

On Monday, Putin signed a decree designating December 22 of each year as official Hockey Day, a step aimed at promoting and developing the sport in Russia.
