His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council, met with His Excellency Rustam Emomali Rahmon, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe, during his official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan at the head of a delegation from the Council.

His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council and His Excellency the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan also held an official talks session at the headquarters of the National Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan. During the session, they reviewed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Tajikistan and discussed ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan in a way that serves common interests, in addition to discussing a number of topics of mutual interest.

The talks session was attended by the delegation accompanying His Excellency the Speaker, consisting of Shura Council members Dr. Aseem bin Mohammed Madkhali, Engineer Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Daghrir, Dr. Basim bin Hamdi Al Sayed, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan, Khaled bin Abdullah Al Shamrani.
