US President Donald Trump on Friday warned China and Russia against selling arms to Iran, expressing confidence in assurances from Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin that they have not done so yet.

Trump said on Truth Social: 'From here, the two main countries that are largely mentioned in the context of talks about Iran, I see that they are not involved. And if they do, it would be very bad for them, and certainly not in their interest.'

This warning underscored the potential repercussions on bilateral relations between the US and both China and Russia if these two countries violate the assurances given regarding not selling arms to Tehran.
