United Kingdom Warns Against Travel to Iran and Temporarily Withdraws Embassy Staff
اتخذت الحكومة البريطانية قراراً بسحب بقية دبلوماسييها من الأراضي الإيرانية مؤقتاً، مجددة تحذيراتها للرعايا من أخطار جسيمة تشمل الاحتجاز والاعتقال.
The United Kingdom announced the temporary withdrawal of its remaining diplomatic staff from Iran, amid the security deterioration in the country with continued U.S. strikes following the renewed confrontations between Washington and Tehran since July 7.
The British Foreign Office confirmed in an update to travel advice that the decision was for security reasons, noting that the British Embassy, which had closed its doors last January, continues to provide services and manage its affairs remotely, without disclosing the number of staff affected by the withdrawal.

The ministry clarified that this step is not the first of its kind, as it had previously withdrawn its diplomatic staff from Iran last February, before the outbreak of US and Israeli attacks on Iranian territory. The British Foreign Office renewed its warning against travel to Iran, emphasizing that British citizens, including those holding dual British-Iranian nationality, face significant risks of arrest, interrogation, or detention.
