Eastern Development Authority and Tuwaiq: Developing Human Capital

The memorandum aims to develop individuals through sustainable development projects.

The Eastern Region Development Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tuwaiq Association for Human Capital Development, aimed at developing individuals through sustainable development projects in the field of human resources, participating in empowering the non-profit sector with human capital, and organizing programs and forums on social investment and enhancing social responsibility aspects.

The signing ceremony took place at the Sultan bin Abdulaziz Science and Technology Center (SaiTech), affiliated with the authority, in the presence of the authority's CEO Dr. Talal Al-Mughlouth and Tuwaiq Association Board Chairman Khaled Al-Obaid. The memorandum includes joint contributions from both parties in qualifying and training young men and women through courses and workshops to develop skills, thereby helping to reduce unemployment and provide greater job opportunities in the private and non-profit sectors.

Dr. Talal Al-Mughlouth stressed the importance of signing this memorandum with Tuwaiq Association, as it is the first association specialized in human resources that works on adopting qualification and training programs for young men and women in the region. He stated that the authority seeks to enhance integration with community entities and non-profit institutions, while praising the efforts of Tuwaiq Association in preparing human competencies, as it offers promising work that can be built upon to develop qualitative initiatives that contribute to empowering national capabilities and expanding the scope of development programs in the region.

For his part, Khaled Al-Obaid explained that the agreement will enhance cooperation with the Eastern Region Development Authority in the field of social investment, through developing human capabilities according to the highest quality standards and providing job opportunities for young men and women. He added that this memorandum represents a model of integration between the government and non-profit sectors, contributing to a tangible developmental impact that serves the sons and daughters of the nation, according to a joint working mechanism between the two parties that confirms this integration in development efforts in the Eastern Region to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.

Al-Obaid mentioned that Tuwaiq Association, through its branches across the Kingdom, looks forward to developing strategic partnerships that contribute to launching qualitative programs and joint initiatives that enhance youth readiness for the labor market and support development goals. He pointed to efforts to establish programs that support social investment, thereby contributing to driving development and increasing the national economy's share in human capital.
