The New Zealand dollar rose 0.4% to $0.5860, hitting its highest level since early June, and the Australian dollar edged up to $0.7001. The Canadian dollar steadied after falling to a one-month low, following the imposition by the United States of a new 50% tariff on a wide range of Canadian products.
