A Saudi alliance comprising Huwaz for Business Services, Tamkeen for Technologies, and Saif, a cybersecurity company, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Tourism of the Syrian Arab Republic, represented by the Syrian Company for Tourism and Transport, with the aim of cooperating in developing the tourism sector in Syria and promoting it abroad, thus contributing to increasing the number of tourists and creating new job opportunities for Syrian cadres in the sector. The three alliance companies have a strong track record of projects with the government sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The memorandum was signed on the Syrian side by His Excellency the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Mazen Al-Salehani, and Engineer Fayez Mansour, representing the Syrian Company for Tourism and Transport. On the alliance side, it was signed by Mr. Nawaf Al-Hawasi, CEO of Huwaz; Mr. Sultan Al-Harbi, Chief Strategy Officer of Tamkeen for Technologies; and Mr. Thamer Al-Dhafiri, Managing Director of Saif.

The memorandum included several areas of cooperation, most notably:

Shaping the future of the sector by preparing studies of the Syrian tourism market and setting its strategies for the next ten years.

Designing and developing tourism products and services in partnership with the private sector, opening new horizons for tourism investment.

Building a multilingual electronic tourism platform that serves as Syria's digital window for visitors and tourism companies worldwide.

The memorandum expresses the intentions of both parties to cooperate in these areas, with the executive details of the project, which extends for ten years, to be organized in a subsequent executive contract between the two sides. Huwaz expressed its pride in being part of this alliance that integrates Saudi expertise to serve a promising sector like tourism in Syria, stressing that Syria's civilizational heritage and tourism diversity deserve a global platform worthy of it, and that the alliance will work alongside the Ministry of Tourism and the Syrian Company for Tourism and Transport to transfer the best practices it has accumulated in government sector projects, opening new horizons for Syrian tourism and creating real opportunities for the sector's stakeholders.
