Dr. Wijdan Al-Shammari, a pediatric emergency consultant, warned that learning to swim does not eliminate the risk of drowning for children, as a child is prone to mistakes and slipping.

During an interview with Al-Ikhbariya channel, she stressed that this necessitates following safety guidelines, providing protective measures, continuous supervision, and the presence of a qualified rescuer for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
