The General Directorate of Passports stated: 'Citizens and residents can extend single or multiple entry visit visas through the visit visa extension service on the Absher electronic platform.'

The Passports added, via the 'X' platform, that 'the service allows individuals to extend visitors' visas provided that the service is carried out from the host's account on the Absher platform and that the visitor has no recorded traffic violations.'

It confirmed that the conditions also include the validity of the visitor's medical insurance, payment of visa extension fees, validity of the visitor's passport, and that the visitor must be inside the Kingdom. Additionally, the remaining validity of the visa to be extended must be 7 days or less, or no more than 3 days have passed since its expiry, including the expiry date.

Steps to extend the visit visa via the Absher platform:

Log in to the Absher website.

Select 'My Services'.

Go to the 'Passports' section.

Choose 'Visitor Services'.
