Hajj and Umrah: Zamzam Water Containers for Drinking Only, Not for Wudu or Filling Bottles
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah urged pilgrims and visitors to adhere to the correct use of Zamzam water containers inside the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, stressing that these containers are designated for drinking only, and should not be used for wudu or filling bottles.
The ministry explained, through an awareness message published as part of its electronic campaign #Coming_For_Umrah?, that adherence to the guidelines for using Zamzam containers helps maintain the smooth delivery of the service and ensures that all guests of the Rahman benefit from it, especially in sites that witness high density of worshippers and pilgrims.
It emphasized that preserving Zamzam facilities and services represents a civilized behavior that reflects the awareness of visitors and pilgrims, and contributes to raising the efficiency of organizing services and providing water to everyone easily and conveniently.
