The Asir Municipality and its affiliated municipalities have launched an initiative to equip field inspectors with body cameras during inspection visits. The step aims to document the course of these visits, enhance transparency and accountability, and protect the rights of beneficiaries and inspectors, thereby positively reflecting on the quality of supervisory performance.

The municipality emphasized that this step is part of its ongoing efforts to develop the field inspection system and improve the efficiency of its procedures, as visual documentation provides an accurate record that supports fairness and impartiality in decision-making.

The municipality explained that the use of body cameras contributes to enhancing trust between the inspector and the beneficiary, raising the level of compliance with regulations and instructions, in addition to supporting continuous monitoring and evaluation of performance, which positively impacts the quality of municipal services provided.

The municipality indicated that this initiative is an extension of its efforts to employ modern technologies to develop services and improve the efficiency of field work, in line with the goals of digital transformation and to elevate the level of services provided to beneficiaries.
