Al-Uwayqilah, 09 Safar 1448 AH corresponding to 23 July 2026 AD (SPA) – The activities of the "Farmers' Market in Al-Uwayqilah Governorate" were launched today, organized by the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Northern Borders Region, represented by the ministry's office in Al-Uwayqilah Governorate, at the Al-Khalij neighborhood stadium, and will continue for four days, with the participation of a number of government and private entities. The market aims to support farmers and productive families, enhance the marketing of local agricultural products, and create direct sales outlets that contribute to raising the economic value of national products, as well as introducing the quality of agricultural products for which the governorate is known. The market includes various sections for displaying dates, fresh vegetables and fruits, honey, and rural and food products, in addition to awareness and guidance programs highlighting sustainable agricultural practices and the importance of supporting local production, thereby contributing to enhancing the goals of agricultural development and food security. The branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Northern Borders Region invited residents and visitors to visit the market and benefit from its activities and exhibits, in support of local farmers and producers, and to promote the culture of consuming national products.
