The Ministry of Health approved the regulation of exceptional promotion procedures for its administrative staff for the year 2026, and began counting eligible candidates as stipulated in Article (54) of the Executive Regulations of Human Resources, in a way that ensures fairness and transparency in selecting the eligible candidates.

The Ministry emphasized the adoption of a number of controls and conditions for nomination, most notably that the nominated employee be from the most distinguished entity, and that the number of nominees per region, governorate, or health cluster does not exceed the specified number in the exceptional promotion track via the ‘Mawared’ system. The Ministry explained that the registration of nominees will be done through the exceptional promotion track in the ‘Mawared’ system within a maximum period of (15) days, starting from 13/2/1448 AH, with the requirement that the employee’s service period in the Ministry of Health is not less than one full year, in addition to fulfilling the remaining approved regulatory controls. This step comes within the Ministry of Health’s efforts to appreciate distinguished national competencies, motivate employees to achieve higher levels of performance and creativity, and enhance the institutional work environment based on efficiency and entitlement, thereby contributing to improving the quality of health services and supporting the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The nomination process is expected to see competition among eligible employees, given that exceptional promotion represents an appreciation of professional achievements and an opportunity to move to higher job ranks, reflecting the Ministry’s interest in honoring those with outstanding performance and highlighting competencies capable of contributing to the development of the health work system.
