Political / Bahrain Condemns Houthi Militia Spokesperson's Statements towards Saudi Arabia

Manama, Safar 7, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 21, 2026, SPA – The Kingdom of Bahrain condemned the terrorist threats issued by the so-called military spokesperson of the Houthi terrorist militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the allegations, incitement, and irresponsible escalation they contained, which constitute an undermining of the region's security and stability, a serious targeting of maritime navigation and international trade, and innocent civilians, in a flagrant violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and relevant Security Council resolutions. The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain's firm position of full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stating that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of Bahrain, and its full support for the legitimate measures it takes to maintain its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity, stressing the need for concerted international efforts to protect the security of maritime navigation in the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb, and all vital waterways, thus preserving the security of energy supplies and global trade. It renewed the Kingdom of Bahrain's appreciation for the diplomatic, humanitarian, and developmental efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aimed at reaching a comprehensive and lasting political solution to the Yemeni crisis, in accordance with the Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among which is Security Council Resolution 2216, in a manner that preserves Yemen's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and fulfills the aspirations of its brotherly people for security, stability, and sustainable prosperity. // End // 16:44 TM 0165
