Jordan Shoots Down Eight Iranian Missiles
The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that air defense systems shot down early this morning eight Iranian missiles that were targeting the Kingdom's territory.
A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces explained that the interception was carried out within the framework of the approved defensive and operational procedures to protect the Kingdom's airspace, stressing that it did not result in any injuries or material damage.
He added that the Royal Engineering Corps teams dealt with the shrapnel that fell in several locations and secured them according to the approved technical and security procedures.
The source affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the airspace with the highest degree of readiness, stressing that they will deal with any threat targeting the Kingdom's security and sovereignty according to the approved rules of engagement.
