A responsible source in the Public Transport Authority announced that the Saudi ship (NCC MASA), belonging to one of the national companies, was attacked today, Wednesday, while sailing in the Red Sea.

The source explained that the incident occurred on 10 Safar 1448 AH corresponding to July 24, 2026, and resulted in minor damage to the ship’s hull only, with no injuries among its crew.

The source added that the ship continued its journey to its designated destination after confirming the safety of the crew and the ship in general.

In the same context, the source stressed that the recurrence of such targeting constitutes a violation of international laws and norms that ensure the safety of commercial ships and their crews during maritime navigation.
