The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Wednesday that its forces have successfully completed airstrikes on targets inside Iran for the eleventh consecutive night.

The command had earlier announced that its forces began, at 7:00 PM Eastern Time, carrying out strikes targeting military targets in Iran, as part of ongoing operations for the eleventh day.

CENTCOM affirmed that the strikes aim to continue undermining Iran's ability to threaten commercial navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, as part of ongoing U.S. military operations in the region.

The ongoing U.S. strikes come amid an escalating military confrontation between Washington and Tehran, which has seen the United States target Iranian military sites and infrastructure in recent days, alongside a tightening of U.S. military and naval measures in the Gulf, while Iran has threatened to respond to any attacks on its territory or facilities, amid fears of an expanding conflict and its impact on navigation security and global energy supplies.
