Patrols of the General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan region arrested a citizen for transporting violators of the border security system of Ethiopian nationality. They were detained and legal procedures were taken against them. The two violators were referred to the competent authority, and the person who transported them was referred to the Public Prosecution.

The official spokesman for the General Directorate of Mujahideen confirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of violators of the border security system into the Kingdom, transports them within it, provides them with shelter, or offers them any assistance or service in any form, exposes himself to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the vehicle and housing used for shelter, in addition to being publicly shamed.

He explained that this crime is considered one of the major crimes warranting arrest and is a breach of honor and trust, urging reporting of violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions. All reports will be treated with complete confidentiality with no liability on the reporter.
