The pungent smell that seeped through the floors of a residential building in the 'Sidi Bishr Qibli' area of Alexandria was not just a sign of temporary household negligence, but the first thread in uncovering a horrific criminal nightmare orchestrated by a young lawyer, before she disappeared from sight and left behind a crime that shook the Egyptian street.

When the neighbors grew weary of the smell rising from the apartment, they confronted the lawyer who lived there with her elderly mother. The young woman displayed unexpected composure and confidently claimed that the source of the smell was nothing but 'rotten food' and that she would dispose of it soon. However, the following days brought no solution to the problem, but rather a sudden disappearance of the lawyer and a complete closure of the doors, while the smell continued to worsen, forcing residents to call the security forces.

As the forces stormed the apartment, the home turned into a crime scene that shocked even the most seasoned investigators. Two human palms were found lying on the living room floor in a state of decomposition, next to a closed bag containing two severed legs. In the kitchen, the inspection revealed the upper part of the body hidden inside a bag in the refrigerator, while the victim's head was inside the freezer, its features completely lost due to decomposition and freezing, along with a plastic bag containing the victim's entrails.

Despite forensic evidence seizing a blood-stained knife and scissors, and the apartment belonging to the fugitive lawyer who has become the prime suspect, the biggest puzzle investigators are now trying to decipher relates to the victim's identity itself. The public prosecution is awaiting the results of DNA testing to settle the troubling question: Did the lawyer shed her humanity and kill her elderly mother and dismember her body, or was the home refrigerator a hiding place for another victim?
