Riyadh, 26 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to July 11, 2026, SPA — The joint field campaigns to monitor and apprehend violators of residency, work, and border security regulations, conducted in all regions of the Kingdom during the period from 17 to 23 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to July 2 to 8, 2026, yielded the following results: First: The total number of violators apprehended in the joint security field campaigns in all regions of the Kingdom reached (15430) violators, including (7913) violators of residency regulations, (4037) violators of border security regulations, and (3480) violators of labor laws. Second: The total number of individuals apprehended while attempting to cross the border into the Kingdom reached (1542) persons, (46%) of whom were Yemeni nationals, (53%) Ethiopian nationals, and (01%) other nationalities. Additionally, (30) persons were apprehended for attempting to cross the border out of the Kingdom illegally. Third: (27) individuals involved in transporting, harboring, employing, and concealing violators of residency, work, and border security regulations were apprehended. Fourth: The total number of violators currently undergoing regulatory enforcement procedures reached (29286) irregular foreign workers, including (27127) men and (2159) women. Fifth: (17353) violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, (5438) violators were referred to complete their travel bookings, and (11800) violators were deported. The Ministry of Interior affirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within it, provides them with shelter, or offers them any form of assistance or service, exposes themselves to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the means of transport and accommodation used for harboring, in addition to being publicly shamed. It clarified that this crime is considered a major offense warranting arrest and is a crime against honor and trust.
