Riyadh, 4 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to July 18, 2026, SPA — The joint field campaigns to monitor and apprehend violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations, conducted in all regions of the Kingdom for the period from 24 Muharram to 1 Safar 1448 AH (July 9 to 15, 2026), yielded the following results: First, the total number of violators apprehended in the joint security field campaigns in all regions of the Kingdom reached (15,836) violators, including (7,892) violators of residency regulations, (4,617) violators of border security regulations, and (3,327) violators of labor regulations. Second, the total number of those caught attempting to cross the border into the Kingdom reached (1,631) individuals, (33%) of whom were of Yemeni nationality, (65%) Ethiopian nationality, and other nationalities (2%). Additionally, (42) individuals were caught attempting to cross the border out of the Kingdom illegally. Third, (21) individuals involved in transporting, harboring, employing, and covering up violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations were arrested. Fourth, the total number of violators currently undergoing enforcement procedures is (30,139) illegal expatriates, including (28,087) men and (2,052) women. Fifth, (17,273) violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, (6,160) violators were referred to complete their travel bookings, and (12,211) violators were deported. The Ministry of Interior emphasized that anyone who facilitates the entry of violators of border security regulations into the Kingdom, transports them within it, provides them with shelter, or offers them any assistance or service in any form, exposes themselves to penalties of up to 15 years' imprisonment, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the means of transport and residence used for harboring, as well as public shaming. It explained that this crime is considered a major offense warranting arrest and is detrimental to honor and trust, urging reporting of any violations to number (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
