Lebanon condemns Houthi militia threats to navigation in Bab el-Mandeb and affirms solidarity with Saudi Arabia

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants condemned, 'in the strongest terms,' the threats made by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including threats targeting maritime navigation through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, considering these threats a flagrant violation of international law and relevant Security Council resolutions.

The ministry renewed - according to a statement it issued - its affirmation of the necessity to respect the freedom of maritime navigation and the full implementation of international resolutions; in a way that ensures support for Yemeni legitimacy and the withdrawal of the Houthi militia from the areas they control, stressing the importance of maintaining the security of maritime passages and regional stability.
