The Yemeni Cabinet held an exceptional meeting today in the interim capital Aden, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Mohsen al-Zindani, to discuss the serious developments resulting from the continued escalation by the terrorist Houthi militia, foremost of which is the reception of a new Iranian flight at Sana'a airport, which is under its forceful control, in a blatant challenge to national sovereignty, a clear violation of international law and Security Council resolutions, and a direct threat to Yemen's security and regional stability.

The Cabinet affirmed that the government, after exhausting all initiatives and facilities it had offered to spare Yemen and the region further escalation, and in light of the Houthi militias' insistence on rejecting legal solutions and continuing to invite foreign interference, decided to declare a state of permanent session to follow up on the crisis developments and take necessary decisions and measures to protect state sovereignty and deter any threats targeting its supreme interests.

The Council approved the formation of a government crisis management team to coordinate and manage military, political, diplomatic, legal, and media efforts, continuously follow up on developments, and submit periodic reports, ensuring unified government performance and rapid decision-making and effective response to all developments.

The Cabinet instructed the Ministries of Defense and Interior and all relevant authorities to raise the highest levels of readiness and preparedness, and to enable the armed forces and security agencies to perform their constitutional duties in protecting the sovereignty of the republic, defending its airspace, territory, and ports, and preventing any attempts to undermine state sovereignty or impose facts contrary to the constitution, law, and international legitimacy resolutions.

The Council also tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates with intensifying its movements and contacts with brotherly and friendly states and regional and international organizations, urging them not to allow the use of their airspace, territory, or facilities to operate any flights to Yemeni territory outside official approved channels, in a manner that respects the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and complies with international law and relevant Security Council resolutions.

The Cabinet renewed its emphasis that the terrorist Houthi militia bears full responsibility for this dangerous escalation and its potential repercussions on Yemen's security and stability, undermining peace efforts, and threatening the safety of civilians, infrastructure, navigation, and regional interests, due to its continued rejection of peaceful solutions, invitation of foreign interference, and imposition of facts by force.

The Council also held the Iranian regime responsible for its continued support for the Houthi militias and their practices violating international law, stressing that any support or facilitation that contributes to entrenching these violations will only prolong the Yemeni crisis, increase its complexity, and undermine regional and international efforts aimed at achieving peace, security, and stability in Yemen and the region.

The Cabinet affirmed that the government will continue to take all political, diplomatic, legal, and military measures provided for by the constitution and international law, in defense of the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen, protection of its national security, and preservation of the interests of its people, and will not allow any infringement on the state's exclusive right to manage its airspace, ports, and sovereign institutions.
