Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas, former world No. 3, won the Swiss Open Gstaad (ATP 250) on Sunday, played on clay, after defeating Belgian Raphael Collignon 6-4, 6-7 (7-3), 6-3 in the final. Tsitsipas became the first Greek to win the Gstaad title, and raised his tally to 13 career titles, achieving his first trophy since winning the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships (ATP 500) on March 1, 2025. The 27-year-old has dropped to world No. 85 this year, after reaching No. 3 in 2021. Tsitsipas has lost two Grand Slam finals at Roland Garros (2021) and the Australian Open (2023). He won the ATP Finals in London in 2019 and the Monte Carlo Masters (ATP 1000) three times (2021, 2022, 2024). Before reaching the final, Tsitsipas defeated Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech, the No. 4 seed, in the quarterfinals. Collignon, ranked No. 42, played his first ATP final at age 24.
