Al-Shabab Club announced the signing of a professional contract with Saudi midfielder Awad Al-Nashri for two years, with an option to extend for an additional year, as announced by the club on its official accounts. Al-Nashri, 24, plays in midfield and joins Al-Shabab after a stint of several seasons with Al-Ittihad, where he progressed through the youth ranks before establishing himself as a first-team option in various competitions.

Al-Nashri played 83 matches for Al-Ittihad in various competitions, the most recent being last season when he featured in 21 matches, totaling 865 minutes.

The signing of Al-Nashri is part of Al-Shabab's moves during the summer transfer window, which has seen a number of signings and technical preparations, coinciding with the team's current preseason camp in Austria in preparation for the new sports season.
